Okay, how about a list of best JGB shows. Im talking about shows that you're just not a fan if you dont own.

On a side note, in 1984 I was given a cassette tape that had 8/6/82 Scarlet>Fire, Sailor>Saint on one side, and JGB doing After Midnight> Elanore Rigby > After Midnoght on the other. The JGB was smokin. The tape says Keystone 1982 on it. But I dont believe thats right. Its a good aud. I believe it could be 1/27/80 or 1/24/80. I have heard most of the others.(BTW this versions smokes the others I have heard!...the Stone, etc) The keyboard player sounds more like an electric piano than an organ. Any suggestions?

Dude, I had the same filler from that JGB show on the b side of a cassette that someone gave me. Obviously the JGB could have played those tunes many times so no way to be sure but my copy said washington DC 1980. At least it's a start

If you go to the Jerry site, you may be able to track down when it is from. The Jerry site is kind of a "dead base" for JGB etc.

I may be mistaken, but I thought that Eleanor Rigby was something they only played a handfull of times. The most notable being the one from Kean college in '80 that was released as part of the Pure Jery series.

EDIT: According to Jerrysite.com, Eleanor Rigby was played only 9 times. All between Jan 20 and Mar 8 1980.

Thanks Finster, i didnt think he played it at all in 1982. Im kinda old hat, so I dont do the dead on the net thing much. I do have Dead Base II, but it was my understanding that its not very complete JGB so i havent ever taken it to be definitive.

If it's the same version that Lobster is referring it must be from 2/12/80, which I believe is one of the best Jerry shows ever, available on a fantastic audience recording (be careful as there is a mislabled SBD that circulates). Even though Kean College was released as part of the Pure Jerry series I would go to 3-8-80 as the most well known and best played version of that medley though.

If and when I find this show, (I've only been looking 26 years) I'll make sure to let everyone know. Sorry, but this version shits on the 3/8/1980 Stone Theater...

I've been listening to this:

http://deadshow.libsyn.com/index.php?post_year=2008&;post_month=09

the 9/11/08 podcast of a 9/11/76 show.

I'm relatively new to JGB overall so I don't really know what I'm talking about, but the Midnight Moonlight on there just blows me away. I just found it from hunting around on youtube.
